Science fail. Although a retrovirus would be ONE possible reason for superpowers, the spider that bit PP was radioactive. The radiation could theoretically cause mutations in his cells. The scope and sheer unlikelihood that there would be that many beneficial mutations is ridiculous, but it would be another possibility, nonetheless. |

Nice try. But if you are going to talk about Spiderman, and you talk about the strength of spider silk, you've missed the point. On the other hand, if they actually had Spiderman ejecting webbing out his arse, that would be cool. But his silk had nothing to do with his radioactive spider bite abilities. It was "MAN-MADE". And that means it was evil. |

In the movies it comes out of his wrists.
In real spiders it comes out of 4 (iirc) glands near their bum-holes.

thats assuming that spiderman gained his web shooting from ability from his genetic mutation, he actually developed them himself, he is a super smart scientist after all |
