For the clueless: The mug has no handle, and Van Gogh cut off his right ear. There is a famous self portrait that Van Gogh did where he was missing his right ear. Van Gogh actually cut his ear off and presented it as a gift to a woman he deeply admired. At least that is how the story goes. |
