seriously people...what is wrong with just disconnecting for a few damn minutes and actually reading something? Your brain actually needs the exercise and watching a vid on your phone from the magazine you should be reading just won't cut it.

I thought the point was to stop printing stuff. What is the point of printing something so you can use your phone to use the print as a link to online content? Why not go directly online, or scan a QR-code?

If I need a certain product, I Google it and get it the cheapest place. No matter how "fun" they try to make advertising it will still, at the end of the day, be advertising.

This technology has been out for a while. Saw it at least a year ago and animated a $1. Aurasma.

"What's the point?
Get digital magazines on your ipad... done."

How does the owner of that magazine get your attention for you to have it on your ipad? If all of the magazines and brochures that are in doctor/dentist offices, hotel lobbies and rooms, etc. had this technology they could provide rich experiences for those people who happen upon them. Same for random signs you see while walking around a city or building. An extension of the QR code technology that stores and businesses have started using but instead of taking you away from the sign or magazine you are looking at, it stays in context.

i can see potential in product documentation, technical magazines, general demonstration articles

just apple though? not a chance seeing as it seems pretty simple...a variant of QR codes to reference youtube (or other) videos

There is no point dm2754. It's aimed at apple users, and theyre known to buy anything, no matter how overpriced, overhyped and crap it is.
