@andynaylor. Agreed. Freezing temps are the enemy of beer flavor...the cold just numbs the taste buds. Funny how its the mega industrial brewers who mass-produce bland "lagers" that push the mistaken notion that "colder is better".... |

By Beer, i'm assuming you mean Lager. Proper beers and ales should be drunk slightly below room temperature but never chilled to the same extent as lager, it ruins the flavour completely.

If you want cold beer you have to use ICE as the bug itself. Strapya World makes an ice mold & handle set for ice/beer mugs.

One isn't drinking fast enough if it gets hot that quickly.
Also, the beer would lose heat through the glass as well, not just the top. Silly Japanese. |

This is completely ridiculous and gross.
As someone who has consumed many beers in Japan I can tell you one thing the Japanese love is foam on your beer. It still bugs me when I get served a beer that is 25% foam on top. Where I grew up pouring a good beer meant you got just a thin layer of foam on top. In Japan it is exactly the opposite the even sell devices to help you make your beer foamier.
I have requested beer with less foam before. I get weird looks and I get served a glass that is less full than it should be since the don't want to give me more beer to replace the air they were going to sell me.
So yea f/uck you and your frozen ice foam. |

A good sustainable beer head is produced by the ingredients and brewing technique. It is an indication of a beer that uses quality ingredients. It is NOT something that you can just plop on from a soft serve machine. I guess when you beer is that made from extracts and flavor additives to begin with, it isn't that big of a deal. |
