Hedkwab: What you don't know is that a lot of 'Whites' in the south have an ancestor that was Black. Records were sketchy and sometimes falsified back then, misogyny was kept a secret. Most people light skinned enough to pass as white did so.
Most people in the south would find it hard to prove they don't have any mixed ancestors, they know that now and are less likely to be racist because of it.
There are racists of every color, creed, income level, sexual orientation, and location. There are people in Africa fighting each other over a minor difference in skin color and most people here would call both groups 'Black'. There are Arabs fighting Persians fighting Kurds fighting Turks fighting Greeks and they all look olive skinned to me. |

It sure sounds like:
Zimmerman saw a black kid, called 911, followed him in his car.
Confronted kid, a fight broke out.
During the fight the kid was shot.
Who started the fight? Was Zimmerman allowed to confront the "suspect" because he's Neighborhood Watch? Is the only reason that Trayvon was confronted because he's Black?
It's truely sad that a young person was killed, but calling for the other man to be crucified isn't going to help matters. |

He got in because he was visiting his father! He left his fathers house and went to the store then was walking home when this guy saw a black guy and called the cops. They told him to not approach him, but he went after this kid with candy and soda and no gun and shot him. If the shooter was black he would be in jail right now. |

Because the gates in these communities are like bicycle locks: they won't stop someone who wants to bypass them, they're really just deterrents. |

This is not the real story. George called 911 to report a suspicious person. As he got off the phone the kid attacked him and started beating the crap out of him and slamming his head against the walkway. All the while saying "you're gunna die tonight motherfxxxxx" George was screaming help when someone in a nearby apartment called 911 again. George's shirt came up while the kid was beating him, revealing the gun that he is licensed to carry. The kid went for the gun and they struggled for it, George ended up shooting the kid and saving his own life.Stop pulling the race card, George is hispanic, not white.
I'm sure the teen went into a gated community he didn't live in to hand out cookies though.... |

whatever really happened we probably will never know for sure since only the neighborhood watch guy can say what happened at this point, and there is no way to prove him wrong/right besides just taking his word. |

How is his past criminal record relevant to this crime?
Why did they choose a photo of the youth smiling and a scowling picture of his shooter?
Even the wording is intended to sway you in an obvious direction.

Then you would be wrong. There is no law that states you must meet force with similar, but not more, force. Or do you want a law that says as long as a 250lb thug is unarmed, a 100lb woman can not use more than her fists to protect herself?

What makes you think it was unnecessary? He could have been doing everthing from 'walking to church for a prayer meeting', to 'in the middle of raping a nun'. We only have his parent's story that he was 'just walking home', which is what the family ALWAYS says.
Seeings as there were black families in the neighborhood, I highly doubt a member of the neighborhood watch would call the police saying "There's a BLACK GUY walking down my street! What do I do?!?!"
