Furrything, people do hate pmarren. He's just a curse that will not go away and he exists purely to be hated. Also, there are plenty of images of dogs being tortured on the internet. There are people just like pmarren who hate dogs enough to torture them. If anything, dogs are a more common victim of abuse. |

Narcissistic tyrants abuse all kinds of weaker creatures, including children, but they tend to harbor a special hatred for cats because cats don't respond to violent abuse in an ego-affirming manner (groveling) the way dogs and kids tend to. Nothing is more threatening to the fragile ego of the inveterate abuser than a target who refuses to accept its role as "victim". The abuser desperately *needs* his target to play that role to the fullest in order to experience a *reversal* of the roles involved in the original incidents of abuse he suffered as a child where he was the weak one who was victimized by a stronger creature. He thinks he can "hide" inside the opposite role, where he'll finally find safety and security. It's the ultimate in cowardice. |

That reminds me, I have to catch two feral cats this weekend.
It's fun to duct-tape their tails together and stick contact paper on their feet. They try to run when you are about to run them over, but they only end up kind of squirming sideways so it's both entertaining and easy to hit them with the ATV. The kids love it too.
