As for my personal take, I am in favor of basic human rights for homosexuals. Please don't get me wrong guys.

While I wouldn't care if it was two guys, I think it was a good idea for it to be two attractive girls first. It's best to ease people in with things they are kind of ok with before you show them everything.

"That won't happen. Americans are sick and tired of the Republicans hateful views."

Really? Then why, after gaining the right to marry in California did the religious conservative republican base pass a law taking it away?

Hate never goes out of style my friend. But if you hate on someone for race or religion you're a biggot or racist. Hating gays is "a higher moral choice" and a "religious right". It's a very differant fight than the racial civil rights movement.

This is the quote I was respomding to: "Which is why Romney and Gingrich BOTH lead Obama in re-election polls."

The other one was obviously my own.

I'll admit the only reason I think it's wrong to be a lesbian is when they are that pretty. It's a crime against men. :)

i always find it interesting that people have no problems at all when two female's kiss. but when it's two males - it's like the worlds worst thing. i'm not gay, and i don't like anyone kissing in public at all. but when push comes to shove, even the bashers like seeing two girls kiss (two attractive girls kiss that is).

Good for them, that said, if DADT is reinstated, it really won't affect non PR rates/mos enlisted personnel at all. Enlisted who aren't on camera for nfl games or public guard details haven't had any real issues being gay in my experience. I joined right after 9/11 and we had two guys in boot camp we knew for a fact were gay and no one gave them any issues over it, cause ya know, we were all there to kill some muslims.

Didn't really encounter anyone else I knew was gay for about five years, but when I did, he was pretty flamboyant with it, and, again, non-issue.

Officers regardless of occupation, that's a different story though.

Wow. What nice women: smart and well-spoken (and, yes, attractive too). My impression, after watching them for all of 50 seconds, is that they would probably do a better job of raising a child than most.

As a Navy veteran, former submariner and proud American, this makes me very happy. The military has often led in the area of civil rights (believe it or not), and I'm glad to see this.

Of course, I know that reaction to this from the Right would have been a lot, lot worse had this been two guys. So, I'm glad that, by chance, it was two attractive women. Not that that matters one single iota to me, but, I do understand human nature, and understand the way of the conservatives. And though they claim to be disgusted by this, they'd be far more put off were it two men.

"You say that like Paul has a chance of winning. He doesn't. "

Why not? Mainstream media likes to ignore him. Fox news and other Republicans like to call him irrelevant and ignore him too. But he's already won the Iowa straw poll. He has a lot of support.

"Which is why Romney and Gingrich BOTH lead Obama in re-election polls."

Mind providing a source on this? Because I have heard from different sources that Obama is leading over both of them. Barely, but still leading.

At this point, reintroducing the ban would effectively destroy the military, nevermind being highly unconstitutional. Considering all the Republicans' doom-and-gloom prophecies about unit cohesion falling apart and rape parties and horses eating each other over the repeal, there has yet to be a single actual problem. And without a legitimate, concrete reason for a discriminatory policy to be in place, having such a policy would be incredibly illegal.

WRONG. Ron Paul supported the repeal of DADT and voted for the repeal of it.

You say that like Paul has a chance of winning. He doesn't. He never has and never will. While I personally think he's the best Republican there is, that's mostly because he's legitimately insane instead of a hateful fascist.

@Pooptart19 true, but even as a British student I have more chance of winning the Republican election then Ron Paul.
