Thursday, October 13, 2011 10:03:46 AM "Stupid people fighting is not crime. He's a dumbass." Doesn't matter if it is a crime or not. You are allowed to detain them if they are suspects of a crime through the citizens arrest rule but you have no right to use pepper spray and that is assault. |

Wednesday, October 12, 2011 9:51:48 PM In the comics, the whole point of the costume is to protect the protagonist's identity so they can avoid reprisals by criminals or the law. Once they know who the black guy is in the rubber suit is, it's redundant and the game's over. Besides, all the hotties are in ROACH. |

Wednesday, October 12, 2011 9:29:18 PM Phoenix Jones is an awesome experiment into what happens when you try to be a super hero in real life. It doesn't end up like the Watchmen. Still Phoenix you kick ass, it might be a little corny but thanks for giving a poo and doing something unlike most others. Do you think if the Occupy Wall Street protests get out of hand Phoenix will need to maintain order like Nite Hawk II and the Comedian? |

Wednesday, October 12, 2011 4:50:30 PM So even though he was trying to break up a group that was violent, one that would have become even more so if he waited for the police, he gets arrested for doing so? drat THE PO-LICE Do you really want the police to be judge and jury as well, to decide guilt without any invesigation, solely on the basis of...what, exactly? What the people involved tell them, because nobody ever lies to the police? Be careful what you wish for, in case you get it. |

Wednesday, October 12, 2011 4:03:49 PM Actually, pepper-spraying 2 people who are fighting can be construed as illegal...it all depends on how gung-ho your friendly local police-man is. |

Wednesday, October 12, 2011 2:25:54 PM @Zsa It's not illegal to fend off someone who is attacking you, period! I am however under the impression that he pepper sprayed the girl or girls attacking him and if that's not the case and he pepper sprayed the people fighting, then it may be a different situation. Still, do you stand by and do nothing while someone for all you know is being beaten to death? HELL NO! I still don't think he'll be charged if he did pepper spray the people fighting. I'll have to follow the story and see what happens though as I'm kind of curious. |

Wednesday, October 12, 2011 2:09:37 PM Well, being a vigilante is illegal. Which is why your identity is supposed to be secret Jones. |

Wednesday, October 12, 2011 11:15:52 AM Reminds me of a story: Guy was a diver in a river San Marcos, TX. Man drowning under powerful spillway waterfall. Police standing on river bank tell him it's a police matter and not to interfere. Diver says "phuck you" and decides to save drowning man. Saved his life. Police arrest him for interfering with police business.

Wednesday, October 12, 2011 9:30:56 AM We have to chase him - he is the hero that Seattle deserves, but not the hero Seattle needs right now, so we'll hunt him, because he can take it, he's not the hero, he's our silent guardian, our watchful protecter, Phoenix Jones. |

Wednesday, October 12, 2011 9:21:59 AM He won't be charged, she's was attacking him. It's doesn't much matter who started it when one of them is retreating and the others are pursuing with the intent to continue the attack. He was retreating and she continued to attack, he defended himself. The officer did the right thing by arresting him as cops are legally ignorant and they just try to put down situations before they escalate. I don't see why they would both mentioning that he injects himself into these situations or that he's been advised to call 911. There is nothing illegal about trying to break up a fight. If I see someone being raped you want me to watch it while I talk to you on the phone about what's happening? Thank's but I'd rather risk my life to prevent it from continuing. Again, he won't be charged. |

Wednesday, October 12, 2011 8:57:37 AM darkmagic14n - While I agree with what you say, the police probably have regulation mace. They wouldn't know what was in his mace; for all they know, it could something that actually blinds someone. While I doubt it is something that he would actually do, from the police point of view taking him in was the right thing to do.
