Monday, July 25, 2011 1:50:41 PM "These are tough rugged cars they are building too, Not the crappy plastic cars they make today and charge platinum prices for." I hope you aren't talking about how the cars didn't crumble on a collision...cause that's a good thing. But I think I get what you're talking about |

Monday, July 25, 2011 6:53:03 AM This was back when America was a manufacturing powerhouse. Of course one income households were the norm, America was getting back to work after the great depression had weakened us. Men would work any job as long as it paid, but these men had prime jobs, You may say it was tedious today, Back then they would've said it was a great job. These are tough rugged cars they are building too, Not the crappy plastic cars they make today and charge platinum prices for. |

Sunday, July 24, 2011 7:59:18 PM Daroofa, back then those men made the equivalent of $30 an hour today. You could actually survive on a job that required just a few weeks of training in manufacturing. It's still a crappy job. As a cashier I just push buttons all day, that doesn't mean it's easy. |
