Well, I'm talking about sane people. Women do NOT have to live up to 'insane expectations' of anyone. Any person who thinks they do is the one with the problem. It's not the fault of the movie star they are trying to emulate. They are on screen and paid bootloads of money for the simple reason that THEY DO NOT LOOK LIKE NORMAL PEOPLE.
The rest of the world is not concerned with, nor responsible for, an individual's low self-esteem.
The picture hurts no one. Their own attitude does.
I find Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Alba and many other actresses sexy as hell. I do not expect my wife to try to emulate them (but then, I wouldn't expect Lopez to be able to save a life, as my wife has done).
She enjoys movies with good looking guys, but does not expect me to look like Russell Crow or Johnny Depp. |

@Lobotomy Didn't say that Canned laughter pretended to be real. Just stated that in the scheme of things, an altered photo on a show that's just for entertainement is on par with canned laughter.
It really doesn't matter if you use photoshop in a case like this:
as it hurts no one.
On the other hand, photoshops such as this:
are just an attempt to push an agenda through lies. (As much as I dislke Obama, such a lie as this is pitiful.) |

Now, had they been doing that with NEWS photos, and presenting them as facts such as Reuters:
