Saturday, June 18, 2011 5:05:43 AM The camera is mounted on an equatorial mount like a telescope. It always follows the point in the sky, the galaxy, and every exposure increases the light collected. That is why things seem to move in the foreground but not the star field. Beautiful work though! |

Saturday, June 18, 2011 12:01:21 AM "I wonder how he enhanced the video so you could see the stars that brightly? They look good on the Outer Banks, but not THAT good." Time lapses take photos for seconds at a time, not the split seconds we see with our eyes. That's a hell of a lot more light going into the camera. Also, very expensive lenses. |

Friday, June 17, 2011 4:45:15 PM Looking at all those stars and galaxies, you realise how small and insignificant we are on this little god forsaken piece of rock floating in space. Humbling really. |
