Cheesy, but cute. Don't mean to be an Angilion (sorry dude) but for those commenters saying "I'd definitely say yes! Harry Potter is one of my favourite books!", well, you might want to consider things like how much you love him and vice versa, whether you have a stable relationship, long-term financial security, and general suitability as potential life-partners.
Heck, I love Tolkien's work with a deep, burning passion. But if Jeffrey Dahmer proposed marriage to me neatly slotting a diamond ring into a copy of "The Fellowship", I might have a few more questions before I said "I LOVE THAT BOOK! YES, OH GOD YES!" with eyes brimming with joyous tears of ecstacy.
Questions such as "what gender are you", "are you a serial killer", and "do I even know you"? |

I'd rather not propose using a pop/literature fad... I realise they may both love the book (I don't), but what if 20-30 years from now they've virtually forgotten about the books? would it not have been better to go along a more...lasting..route? Perhaps I just don't get it as I can't stand Harry Potter. |
