Interesting (assuming it is true of course) that 86% of Americans decorate the house at this time. Considering the USA is supposedly gods chosen land and filled to the rafters with god bothering christian zealots surely celebrating a pagan festival such as halloween (not to mention those other pagan greats such as Xmas, Easter etc is a bit hipocritical? I only throw it up there as an observation of how religion in general is followed by crackpots with extreme double standards... |

Why does everyone say that Dia de los muertos is ONLY celebrated in Mexico? It's only celebrated NATIONALLY in Mexico, but I know tons of people in America who celebrate it. |

This is my favorite holiday. Samhain, not Hallowe'en. It's a much better "New Year" than in January, makes more sense. Plus I like the idea that those who have passed before me come back and watch over me. |

In England a black cat crossing your path is LUCKY. But there is nothing about white cats, lucky or otherwise. |

OK I'm from England, I live in England and I am English, and I can tell you straight I've never met a person who thinks white cats are unlucky. Just so you know, some people think black cats are unlucky, some think they are lucky, but white cats are just white cats. Stop making sh*t up, IAB! |

99% of pumpkins used for jack-o-lanterns? I doubt that. Everyone around here just candies the pumpkins cuz we're cool like that. Mmmmm, piloncillo with pumpkin....

What is wrong with that Helen Pfeil lady? So what if they still went out trick or treating that's no reason to poison them.
From Wikipedia:
