Sunday, July 25, 2010 7:46:47 PM There is a minimum distance that you should eject by before you start risking serious injury or death. It's a matter of the chute deploying and decelerating you enough so that you can actually walk away. I'm thinking this guy is probably under that distance. If so, he's one LUCKY guy. |

Sunday, July 25, 2010 2:04:28 PM @WeePee planes are engineered to be safe while flying. not while plumetting to earth. becuase well lets face it, there is nothing you can do to an airplane that will make a crash like that any less fatal. except obviously the parachute. the reason it exploded is because of all the fuel onboard when it hit the ground, hot parts plus flammable fuel equals bang. |

Sunday, July 25, 2010 11:03:34 AM how fast was that plane going that it explodes on contract? i mean the crash didn't look that fast. i would hope planes would be engineered a bit stronger. |

Sunday, July 25, 2010 10:32:21 AM @Queenohearts, I like how you refer to them as "the innocents." You're like the BP chairman and how he looks after the "little people." |

Sunday, July 25, 2010 10:00:06 AM the pilot is fine an ejection that close to ground can save your life and save you from permamnent injury. the reason he most likely waited that long is because he knows what he as to do. when a pilot's plane is crashing their first priority is not their lives but the lives of the innocents that are on the ground. you purposely steer the plane away from all civilians even if it means your own life. |
