Friday, November 20, 2009 5:27:05 AM this is the preview for "Transformers 3". Where Venom turns the jeep into an emo kid and the jeep struts around town like a retard. |

Thursday, November 19, 2009 6:46:55 PM @MattPrinceFinally, a Hitchhiker's-Guide-To-The-Galaxy reference! The problem is, that kind of black would not look like good animation. It would look like car silhouettes. |

Thursday, November 19, 2009 3:31:50 PM KekS: Look at the cars in any of those games from the same in-game distance as the close-up shots in this rendering. Make sure to use the same low resolution and view it as a transcoded video using the same lossy compression algorithm as this Youtube video. Then see if the game cars look as realistic. |

Thursday, November 19, 2009 12:17:41 PM Its not just about numbers, it was a pretty polished end product sweetly put together. Its got flair baby. Why does everything have to be so ***** shiny though? If an Apache has to be black, make it the kind of black "Disaster Area" would fly around in, during their dead phase. |

Thursday, November 19, 2009 7:42:11 AM I could talk about Gran Turismo 5 having an average of 200000 polygons per car and Forza Motorsports 3 having about 1000000 and not requiring 110 days of rendering for 5 minutes of gameplay, or NFS:Shift having 70k polygons in the most complex car and still looking better than this or at least equally good. But, since it would generate a sh*tstorm going right at me, I'll just say:Meh. |

Thursday, November 19, 2009 2:57:42 AM Wow, that is one of the coolest things I've seen. I was thinking it started off as a really long but awesome car commercial, because it felt like that. lolThat guy has some really great talent. |

Thursday, November 19, 2009 1:05:13 AM wow. amazing work! and 110 days rendering... must be a nice farm to pull it off even in that amount of time.
About 19 minutes rendering per frame, if it was made at 25fps and there was 5m30s of animation. It's a shame we don't know more details, but I think that could be done without a nice farm. |

Thursday, November 19, 2009 12:57:26 AM Some nice work with dinosaurs here:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmA0dOO0G... Pantural did the graphics, but the film was directed by someone else. Which is probably the best arrangement - Pantural is an artist, not a film maker. |
