What? You can't dress up as an MTV black skanky ho unless you IS an MTV black skanky ho?

White people are always the ones "offended" by these types of things. I think it's an original costume.

i think the news is grasping. get a drating life, really. And chicks who dress in next to nothing as role models? Might as well be idolizing strippers...

so it would have been better if she went as a slut? becuase that is what most girls dress up as for halloween. i think that it was a very creative costume and she wasn't doing it for any "racist" purpose. like people need to calm the drat down on poo like this.

Very much encourages racial discrimination.

isn't it racist in itself to say that it's "wrong" someone of one ethnicity to dress up as one of another?

So we're pissed about a Halloween costume. Jeez shouldn't we be pissed that GM needs another bailout. God we are retarded as Americans.

Isn't it stupid to say this is racist?

First of all, how is dressing up as a black person racist?
Second, if a black person dressed up as a white person, is it racist?
Third, if saying a white person should not dress as a black person and vice-versa, THAT is being far more "racist" than dressing as the other ethnicity.

Definition of racism:
hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.

How is dressing as another race racism then? *roll eyes*

and skabashas that is not why they wore black face. they did it because they refused to allow black people into their white establishments and needed the slaves/ servants and other nlgger roles to be easily recognized. it was mocking at best

i saw a few people dress as black people for halloween black face and all...

i guess it is sort of tasteless but i mean what else should you expect from the lowest echelons of american society. we ignore everything else they do. there's whole factions of government based on their teachings and no one makes a fuss.

Oh, and to clear up the historical significance of Blackface:
White actors on stage (as well as in early cinema) wore blackface NOT to appear African American, but to accentuate the features of their face and body. They would leave the lips, bottom of the nose, and eye-ares free of black paint so that patrons sitting far from the stage (or screen) could easily see their facial expressions.

Ok, here it is:
Lil' Wayne is black, whether you like it or not, and to accurately dress up as Lil' Wayne, it's important to have black skin. If you're not black (and in this case, the woman dressing up is NOT) than part of your Lil' Wayne costume should be to paint your skin to look black. It's FINE! Trying to separate and restrain white people from dressing as black people for halloween (and visa versa) only creates more of a gap between the races, thus detracting from any progress in the race resolution in America.

"happens to be black??"

no. he IS black. the question here is "is a white person dressing up as ANYone black a racist move?" the answer is NO, but the black paint on white skin is certainly reminiscent of some sh*t that IS racist so you can see where people would get confused...

So stupid... if she went as a black person then yeah maybe a little racist... but she went as lil wayne who happens to be black... so i dont think it was racist... it was funny. and the people saying "oh little girls look up to them" i would not want my kid looking up to a sexy half naked chick bouncin around the side lines lol

Who cares?? The media trying to get ratings and white people trying to stick up for black people it seems, cause the black guys didn't seem to think it was no big deal.

Does that mean that no black person can dress up like a white faced clown?

I could see maybe if she was just dressing up in black face people getting a little upset... trying to push s stereotype. Even then, she has a right to free speech, so the only issue would be hurting her teams image. That being said, I don't think it's a big deal at all since she is trying to impersonate and actual person.

So...no black person has ever dressed like that? And again to point out, it's okay for the Wayan brothers to dress up like white girls? If the foo poos.
