"all beneficial to playing a real guitar" True that, the same thing stands for drums. Besides, even if it's not as good as playing a real instrument, it's a way of listening to music and incorporating yourself and visuals into audio. |

I play both real guitar and guitar hero and find that they compliment each other rather well. No better warm up for scales than 'Hotel California' on expert :DOn a completely unrelated side note. i've found that a lot of older people who grew up playing guitar are a little pissed off at its sudden resurgence in popularity. Well, unless they sell them :P

Playing Guitar Hero increases rhythm perception, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, coordination between the hands,....all beneficial to playing a real guitar. So it can make you a *better* guitar player at least. |

Everyone, the joke is that no matter how much you play Guitar Hero, it doesn't make you good at playing a real Guitar. So, it is a JOKE to say that no matter how much these kids play Football Hero, it doesn't mean they are good at real Football/Soccer. IT IS A JOKE!And, so what if Americans call Football "Soccer" - the Italians call it "Calcio" and they are the reigning World Cup Champs for a few more months. |

Bad at regular soccer? They were bouncing balls off the ground, and then kicking them while they were in the air and hitting the target.My American ass couldn't hit a full size goal from the penalty kick line with the ball resting in place. |
