Well to anyone questioning whether hypnotherapy is effective or not i see it like this: A real doctor probably wouldn't recommend it, hence perhaps you should listen to a medical professional instead of an organization that issues licenses to cats. And yes, "Alternative" medicine is a joke, much like davymid said the stuff that does work is what we call regular old medicine. Most of the other stuff is just idiots selling you dreams, and with any luck perhaps some placebo effect. |

The point, simbha, is that if a (clearly unqualified) feline can gain accreditation, then so can equally unqualified humans. And even if hypnotherapy were proven effective, therapy conducted by an unqualified person (or cat) probably wouldn't work. So the laxity of requirements decreases the likelihood of success for a person seeking treatment. |

How do lax registration requirements demonstrate the ineffectiveness of hypnotherapy? Not saying it works, but this isn't evidence to the contrary. |
