there are some things that ARE NOT meant to be eaten!!The sad thing is, delicacies like this were born from a time when people were so poor they were forced to eat stuff like this just to survive... these days its sold at a high price so people can profit off it :( |

As long as it was not still moving, I could do it. I've tries salmon eyes before. Kind of a squish pop sensation without much flavor. It was not to my preference.Opiebreath, ankles are called hocks. You can use the to flavor stocks for soup of braise and stew them like Ossum Bucco. Served with white beans and mustard greens they are pretty tasty. |

even if i did want to eat it... i wouldnt know where to start... do you eat it like an egg, or do you cut it open and eat the inside, or do you just look at it until your appetite goes away? |

I've had the little fish eyes that you find in bass and tilapia, etc., but never one that gihugeic. I'd assume it tastes the same though- a sort of fatty-feeling jelly outside and a hard inner core. Meh, not that bad. |
