Wednesday, October 14, 2009 8:44:43 PM She's hot, I'd DO her. But I'd have to think of some way to keep her quiet, eh? During and after. Then I'd make her some backbacon on toast for breakfast. Lets see, $500B, divided by 1B hungry people = feed the world's hungry for like 1 week, then back to square 1, minus the Catholic Church. Great plan (yes I know it's supposed to be funny). Now Sam Kinison (as Lord_Jereth mentioned) HE was a funny man! Rude and offensive yes, but funny! And these guys: MacLean & MacLean Who I am heartbroken to report are both dead :( |

Wednesday, October 14, 2009 12:42:26 PM "its time for you to move out of your house-that-is-a-city?" hilarious. I'm not all that fond of her, but she does bring up a point. hell, in the US the best looking building in any given neibourhood is the church. I know there are certain reasons for that, but do you really need gold plated offering plates and then preach how blessed the frickin poor are? really? |

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 3:48:38 PM Baalthazaq, i don't find you to be a lemming, you seem to be seeped in facts well enough, at least, like the rest of us, your trying. you don't like her, good for you. i think she's warped, though oddly funny, fits no other mold & doesn't seem to be seeking approval.got it, maybe she she's the type that voted for change. |

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 8:05:05 AM I always get the impression she thinks shes a hell of alot funnier than she is. Her voice and the way she contorts her mouth is irritating but sometimes she is funny. Not so much on this occasion. |

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 7:55:47 AM Well to be fair, that just makes it all the more comparable to the Vatican. Before Abu Dhabi bailed us out we owed 107% of our GDP in debt. The Vatican, in a semi comparable way spends 103% of its earnings. Also, Dubai doesn't have oil. 6% of our GDP comes from oil (Pre-crash numbers, potentially this has risen, but unlikely as the price of oil has come down too). Disclaimer: Abu dhabi (and therefore the UAE) does have oil reserves, just not Dubai. |

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 7:46:56 AM There's no wealth in Dubai Baalthazaq... Ok, I'm sorry. Any city in the middle of the desert with an indoor ski hill, the world's new tallest building, a man-made island shaped like a palm (with a resort on it), a 7-star hotel, and much much more awesome stuff...surely, UAE is jizzing money like there's oil under those lands. Crazy rich sheiks. |

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 7:35:10 AM References: Forbes highest earners 2007 World's Second Largest Yacht aka the Yacht outside my window. CIA World Factbook: The VaticanIncidentally, the housing estimate I gave earlier is probably inaccurate, because you need to factor in: 1) 3000 people live in Italy, not the Vatican. 2) Most of the Vatican isn't housing. |

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 7:26:59 AM Vegas: The vatican is a city-state. As a city state, it has wealth beyond that of your average schmo. I think your real problem is not realizing how much people on top in any country have. The Vatican's main export is drating stamps ffs. Their total costs are $388 million per year, and their income barely covers this at $374 million. Those are 2007 figures. By comparison, the top 20 Wall Street fund managers that year got an average of $685 million. That's 12 individuals on one street (Wall Street) earning more than the entire 8000 person Holy See. Some up to 5 times as much. "I've been to the Vatican". Pfft. I LIVE in Dubai. I know opulence. You need a comparison. Compared to your house? Sure, the Vatican is likely impressive. Otherwise, right outside my window, is a Yacht bigger than your "opulent" city. The yacht, is called Dubai, look it up. |

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 4:10:01 AM Sell the Vatican to end world hunger. GENIUS! Then we can use Carlin's idea of taking back the golf courses of the world to build housing on for the homeless. Or we take Sam Kinisons's idea of not really feeding the staving millions, but sending them U-HAULs and luggage so they can move to where the effing food is!Comedy is brilliance sometimes. LJ |

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 3:43:31 AM I dunno what her point is, I mean, I gathered that although she isn't suggesting that the Vatican should be old, as that is crazy. I assume that she is trying to sarcastically show how greedy the Catholic church are, for supposedly not following their vows of humbleness. The Catholic church is probably the biggest charity on earth, they donate A LOT of their money; the era of priests stealing money, and controlling the populace are really over. |

Monday, October 12, 2009 10:17:09 PM Saintnick.. I never got a Memo. I don't like her. She's not that funny, she uses shock tactics in place of comedy. She was OK in monk, and the "I'm ****ing Matt Damon" was cool though. Some quick facts: 1) With a total land area of 0.44 square kilometers, the country is smaller than the soon to be completed US embassy in Iraq. 2) The entire Vatican complex (housing >8000 residents) is worth $1.2 Billion. This equates to everyone in the Vatican living in a <$150'000 home. 3) By comparison the average British home costs $354'043, which I think is a fair comparison country. 4) I know she's kidding. |
