Wednesday, November 04, 2009 1:46:44 PM honestly. if someone doesn't believe, then they have a reason for it. who cares if a teacher persuaded them, or perhaps they had an ape sh** crazy religious family that turned them away from belief.... if they choose that path leave them alone. more room in heaven for you guys if heaven really does exist. |

Thursday, October 22, 2009 12:11:10 AM I like how all the scientists that he said believed god created the universe were all pre-modern age. D'OH.Plus believing that "Nothing created everything" about the big bang theory is ALWAYS a fun one for me. My argument goes something like: First of all, it wasnt nothing that created everything, so you CLEARLY dont know what the big bang actually is. Secondly, god is nonphysical. You cannot see, hear, touch, taste, or smell god. Any "evidence" that you have is limited to you only for that specific case and was a hallucination or a made up event. So, because god is nonphysical, he is nothing, and he created everything, so you believe. Welcome to hypocrisy. |

Thursday, October 22, 2009 12:07:26 AM "telling them ALL that they can't express it in schools is actually a smart thing, because it protects students from MORE ridicule and harassment. about Darwin being anti-woman and a racist, duh. you have to say that about King James, the dude that revamped the Bible in his day by excluding books written by women or had anything to do with pro-women's rights and ect." I agree with you there. |

Wednesday, October 14, 2009 1:36:26 PM he loses his show then he loses his mind? my heart goes out to Cameron. but seriously, when it comes to expressing your religion in school, WHO is allowed to express it? just Christians? All religions? if we accommodate one we have to accommodate them all. telling them ALL that they can't express it in schools is actually a smart thing, because it protects students from MORE ridicule and harassment. about Darwin being anti-woman and a racist, duh. you have to say that about King James, the dude that revamped the Bible in his day by excluding books written by women or had anything to do with pro-women's rights and ect. you wanna talk about freedom? unless times have changed since I was in primary school, but we force everyone in US public schools to say the pledge of allegiance. and about distributing stuff to the schools, guess what, the students can STILL refuse/choose to read/take the booklets or not, bc there is still a chance that you're only reaching the ppl that WANT to read it. |

Wednesday, October 14, 2009 8:08:45 AM I like how it's exactly six minutes. Very even. Balances out the crazy. Well, almost. Also, it's great how he says things are undeniable and that his view is correct without even thinking about it. |

Wednesday, October 14, 2009 1:06:49 AM Everyone is free to practice whatever spiritual path they choose to follow, I firmly believe in this. Whatever religion you are, you should be free to educate others in your tenents, should the listener WANT TO. That said, no, there should be no imposed religious aspect of school, state, province etc. This is for the home and church. Kirk speaks about praying banned in school, horse poop. You can pray whenever you want, and if a teacher stops you, tell them it's written in the constitution that you are free to do so. You are not free to force another to pray to your god, nor should you subject someone to your "gospel" unless they ask specifically for it. Many schools, expecially in Canada give a "moment of silence and reflection". Use this time to pray, and stop trying to force me to listen to your beliefs. Separation of Church and State is in the constitution too you know. |

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 10:20:28 PM Dfaulted. First, he said they should be able to make up their own mind. Then he said "the opposing and correct view" unlike Darwin and others who skew and misrepresent Christianity and Intelligent Design. He is simply stating that the book will lay out the facts on the opposing view.(by listing both sides instead of one sided which is Darwins). Second, it is considered life and death in terms of the after life. He is saying America is stripping away people's ability to hear and listen to the Gospel, instead of being censored. Finally, religion should be taught by your parents and the church, but it shouldn't stop there. Our constitution was meant to ALLOW people to freely practice religion and not be censored. By censoring it, you can not be taught it. If you are going to spam, then at least get it right. |

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 9:07:47 AM CrackrJak: I'm guessing you missed the link Rick_S posted about how the link between Hitler and evolution isn't true. Here you go.The article is full of translated quotes from Mein Kampf and many of his speeches which show that, if anything, Hitler was a creationist, not an evolutionist. Give the Discussion section a read. And then shush. |

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 7:59:43 AM "No stretch at all, Darwin's own cousin promoted it."Eugenics has historically been associated with Nazism and racism, so that's firmly implanted in the collective consciousness. I suppose genius sperm banks could eventually breed a master race (not likely), but is manually selecting intelligence really as bad as selecting a weak physical trait like blond hair or blue eyes? I'm not a proponent of eugenics or any artificial selection involving humans, but I recognize a gradient of morality in eugenics, not simply "it's all bad." In any case, let's put this whole 'eugenics' argument into context. I think most can agree that eugenics enacted by humans on humans is a bad idea and that trying to breed a master race, while in some cases ideal, is ignoble. However, note that none of us complain when *nature* practices eugenics, on us or any species. Living alone in the natural world, would you *want* to be anything else but the 'master race'? |

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 7:33:25 AM "If you truly do believe in evolution. Then the logical next step is the improvement of mankind. That means eliminating Deafness, Blindness, Birth defects all kinds, Auto-immune disorders, and everything else considered 'unfit'."Either you're deliberately malevolent or stupendously ignorant. Accepting evolution as the fact that it is doesn't have anything to do with *humans* doing the selecting. Evolution works by *natural* selection and doesn't bid or require any human intervention. If you want to personally remove those you consider unfit, you'll be charged with murder and rightfully so. |

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 2:57:13 AM In short, If you truly do believe in evolution. Then the logical next step is the improvement of mankind. That means eliminating Deafness, Blindness, Birth defects all kinds, Auto-immune disorders, and everything else considered "unfit".(sarcasm on) Remember "It's for the good of the children", So your evil if you're against it. After all if there is a God why would he be so cruel as to allow such deformed children to be born ? So there must not be a God! We must take matters into our own hands and prevent these "unfit" children from being born, Even if that means forced abortions and/or the state determining your fitness to have children. (sarcasm off) |

Tuesday, October 13, 2009 2:46:46 AM :Swisskid10: "Well actually it's (connecting Darwin & Eugenics) quite a big stretch..."No stretch at all, Darwin's own cousin promoted it. Alexander Graham Bell (inventor of the telephone) wrote that deaf people shouldn't marry one another. Many thousands of those deemed "unfit" were forcibly sterilized in the USA up until the 1960's. Eugenics is even creeping into modern day DNA manipulation. Soon parents (with lots of money) will be able to order up custom made children. They say this will be done to ensure healthy (pure) children. In actuality it's no different than what Hitler tried to do, Speed up evolution and breed a master race. |
