The lyrics are intentionally nonsensical and unintelligible. They also leave some (or all, can't remember) of their CD booklets blank so you can write your own lyrics. |

the loudest americans definitely are the least intelligent. some people hear "land of the free" and slap their hands over their ears while humming loudly, off to get their next fix. when almost everything around you tells you to go and please yourself, it's a hard thing to overcome when you finally are lucid enough to hear and understand what the rest of the world has to say. |

I must admit that I didn't know the scale of the maquis. I thought it was some small groups staging hit and run attacks, but there were tens of thousands of them and they fought full-scale battles.7000 maquis against 22000 SS with air support...how the hell is that gutless? Admittedly, the leader of that maquis group wasn't French (Nancy Wake - one of the British special forces soldiers I referred too, although she was a new Zealander by nationality) but the rest of them were. I wonder if Luniz82 would go up against the SS with air support when outnumbered 3 to 1. No, actually, I don't. Incidentally, the maquis won. |

The Free French were outside occupied France (many in the British military), the resistance were inside it. You could also make a distinction between the resistance (undercover, living openly under occupation) and the maquis (hiding out in wild land as a guerilla force), thought that's less clear. France had to surrender early in WW2 - it was an impossible fight. As soon as there was a ghost of a chance, many of the French fought. Which they couldn't have done if France hadn't surrendered, because they would have been dead. We can also thank British special forces for organising French resista |

To anyone who thinks that the French are "gutless retards", try looking up a translation of their national anthem "La Marseillaise" and compare it to ours. Last time I checked, the Star-Spangled Banner doesn't mention killing our enemies so that we can water our crops with their impure blood. |

I hate the French as much as anyone because they're better lovers than us and have all the good plonk, BUT before you trash the Frogs, look at a map and THINK HARD about where they are. France has been right in the middle of every sh*tstorm that ever happened, basically, constantly fighting off invasions throughout its history. Ok so they turned tail and surrendered in 5 seconds during WW2, what the hell would YOU have done after the mightiest army in history marched straight past the wall you'd been building for 40 years?
