Monday, October 05, 2009 11:06:33 PM Wait, what are people complaining about? The fact that the cop was going to let them all off with a warning until someone decided to be a dick? Or when the cop used an amount of force that was entirely reasonable to get an individual into a car? Or when the cop decided to explain his behaviour, which was permissible by his states' laws?Granted, saying to the kid that he was going to break his arm wasn't the smartest thing to do, but that's all you're going to cite him for? Really? I'm firmly of the belief that people need to know the legislation that they are governed by. If you have no idea what the laws are, yeah, you are more likely to break them. Saying that, if you bitch out a cop, and then you act all offended when he does what he is legally allowed to do, it's your own damn fault. Most of the skaters were fine, but the people just yelling at the cop were 'tards. |

Saturday, October 03, 2009 5:06:03 PM I am so sick of police officers who feel that because they have that badge and that uniform they can do WHATEVER they like to civilians. There are so many videos of cops beating people and abusing them even in custody and even when they are incapacitated/helpless. How did things get this bad? why isn't anyone punishing these officers? this is just unacceptable. you can see him actually warping the law to cover his own ass - unconcerned at the five or six actual witnesses there - their word means nothing because they are nobody. I wonder what he might have done if he had seen the video camera.. |

Saturday, October 03, 2009 12:32:00 AM Why is it that only recently that all cops have become a "feared" thing? Now, why does he expect the poor guy to just say "No, I don't have a headache, I am actually so happy right now that I will make my eyes insanely small and smile just because I am in front of someone who gets paid to make me miserable as often as possible. Hooray!" |

Thursday, October 01, 2009 10:23:31 PM Skaters are usually immature, whiny kids looking for a fight. Cops are usually immature, posturing adults with an authority complex. Everybody involved here was actually pretty cool, considering. The real question is who the drat makes a law against skateboarding? |

Thursday, October 01, 2009 8:45:47 PM There's no law stating that the kid can't call the cop a dick. All the same...best policy is that you have the right to remain silent...shut the hell up. Get them in a court of law later. |

Thursday, October 01, 2009 10:59:23 AM If the police have no intimidation factor or just let things pass, it appears there is no punishment in the world. Yes, things can get bad, but examples have to be made if enforcement is to mean anything. |

Thursday, October 01, 2009 8:54:05 AM Cop was being alrite letting it slip and trying to get the kid some pain killers. Skating in San Fransico is illegal and so is lifting grates on sidewalk which they were suspected of doing.Kid calls the cop a Dick so cop acts like one by following the law not abusing power. Its this stupid mentality thats cops are bad as they puniosh bad guys. Its not cirminals fault there commiting crimes society forced them which leads to people having no respect for the police. They do a hard job, they protect us when there cutting you a break dont insult them |

Thursday, October 01, 2009 4:04:09 AM To the douchebags who want to ask what happened to freedom of speech? Nothing. YOu still can say what you want, but you had BETTER be ready to face the consequences. My question is, What happened to RESPECT FOR AUTHORITY? The skater needs his ass beat for mouthing off like a little bitch. |

Wednesday, September 30, 2009 10:08:14 PM people are dicks. people have the right to be dicks. being a dick is part of any situation like that. COPS, however, are not SUPPOSED to be dicks. the cop COULD have been in the right, however once he decided to BE a dick, he was wrong. |

The skater was a bit of a dick, the cop was a dick, some of the bystanders were being dicky in calling out the cop's dickery... I think the world needs more vaginas." What's the fun in that? Nothing like a little testosterone to fuel up the day...until a riot ensues and kiddos are killed in crossfire. Until then, people are too stupid to realize the gravity of their actions and consequences. |

You're welcome. |

Wednesday, September 30, 2009 12:42:28 PM ""Calling him a Dick is his opinion of this officer... and as far as I know the freedom of speech is the right of every citizen."Unfortunatly telling somone your opinion of them with other people/bystanders present it no longer is the freedom of speech and is concidered slander... the cop was correct in what he did. the kid (trying to be a hardass) was in the wrong. I would be willing to bet that the officer still has his job and that kid now has a record, and most likely a fine he had to pay. " Yep, totally agree with you there! |

Wednesday, September 30, 2009 12:31:20 PM I just figured this out.Cops, spelled backwards, is almost "spock". And so when cops act irrationally, or illogically, its because they can't help it. They are backwards Spocks. You're welcome. |

Wednesday, September 30, 2009 11:57:45 AM that cop was probably bullied in high school, so he became a cop so he could get back at the world. |
