Sunday, September 27, 2009 10:33:57 AM jesus h. this is why we need to initiate a fat tax. it's illegal (at least in illinois) to smoke in public places, it should be illegal to be morbidly obese in public places as well! no one wants to see your horridly unhealthy body. |

Sunday, September 27, 2009 10:01:49 AM @feiku ... You're an idiot! Try looking something up before spewing off random facts ... A symptom of depression is both over or under eating ... many depressed people eat for comfort .... "Typically, depression causes you to lose weight. People who 'eat more' when they have 'depression' do not have a serious form of depression. Just thought to clear that up. When I had serious depression, I had no appetite and lost a lot of weight." Depression doesn't just have one symptom ya moron |

Friday, September 25, 2009 10:19:29 PM @feikuActually, if such were the case that people become fat by eating too much, wouldn't I be the same? Sure, metabolism plays a part, but why does it slow down? Has anyone ever considered that these food companies are putting crap in your food to make you fat? The tobacco companies do the same, why would it be different with food =/ ? |

Friday, September 25, 2009 9:46:16 PM @riotDXThat's dangerous territory there....what if you get sucked in? What if you jump towards it and get caught in its gravitational field? We have to test this on rodents, first. |

Friday, September 25, 2009 7:29:26 PM "do not have a serious form of depression."Depends. His depression wasn't a chemical imbalance so much as a perpetual and profound sadness from not being able to do what he loves. Most depression does indeed mean a loss of appetite, but sometimes not eating isn't enough to lose weight and you still get fat from sheer inactivity. |

Friday, September 25, 2009 7:11:43 PM The MAJORITY of fat people are fat because they eat too much. When I grab lunch at the dining hall at my dorm I ALMOST ALWAYS see a fat person eating 2-3 times as much as I have on my plate. And when they're 'trying' to eat healthy, they slather on about 500 calories of ranch on to their salad. Might as well have 2 slices of pizza instead. A very small minority are fat because of a genetic disorder. For example, I have a friend who's pretty big because she has a disease that causes her body to metabolize muscle instead of fat. For her, working out is DEADLY. If she lives 'til she's 30, she'll be lucky. |
