Tuesday, September 22, 2009 9:00:44 PM @omgwtfcj You might want to do a little more research. Albert Einstein had many citizenships. I think his German citizenship was up until he was 8. Who knows how many of your other facts are as legit as that boner. |

Oppenheimer did his Ph.D at the university of Gottingen, in Germany. Teller did all his post grad study in Germany at the universities in Leipzig & Munich. A side note: Various Nazi scientists and physicists were taken from a base raid in Germany, and later developed V2 missles and various aircraft for the US. Ever heard of Werner von Braun?"Hehehe, Fuchs |

Tuesday, September 22, 2009 3:59:01 PM This post has nothing to do with Germany...But I do agree that the U.S pioneered its own technology in WWII, without German aid. |

Tuesday, September 22, 2009 3:56:00 PM kid's ability to soak up knowledge at a young age is the reason why, many adults are able to a variety of skills, seemingly, with ease. When they grow up, they'll retain much of what they are learning now. So if you want you kid to have a good grasp on music, put them in piano lessons early... |

Tuesday, September 22, 2009 2:30:47 PM Oh, and. . .The US had rocket ships(ships that launched rockets) by 1942. We used them against both Japan(who had them as well) and Germany(who also had them). Germany was a good ten to fifteen years ahead of the US, but the only thing they had that we didn't was the jet engine - which Edison's GE was working on at the time as well. |

Tuesday, September 22, 2009 2:24:18 PM "and by the way, Germany was the reason we won WWII. it was their brilliant minds that led to the development of atomic weaponry, as well as the furtherance of solid and chemical rocket propulsion (thank you Wernher Von Braun)"Doooooood. What the heck? You got it bass akwards on three points. 1) The US wanted to stay out of the war. It was Pearl Harbour that enabled the Prez to do more than send supplies and whatnot to Britain. 2) The US did not have access to VB's research till after the war. Solid Fuel rockets were invented in China almost two thousand years ago, liquid fuel rockets were invented in Peru and the first LFR flight was in Auburn, Mass by a guy named Bob. 3) The only German citizen involved in the Manhattan Project was Einstein and much of the refining process that allowed the first A-bomb had come from Madame Curie's experiments. Sorry. . . I haven't had breakfast, and I get cranky when I'm hungry. Still. . . |

Tuesday, September 22, 2009 11:27:23 AM "they wouldnt be so smart if it werent for us giving them better technology and shet after WWII"They were pretty smart to begin with. That's how they kicked our butts for the first year or so - they had better tech. We only got our butts in gear after we realized they were already five to ten years ahead of us. The problem, then as now, is that the Japanese live on an island where the culture takes a lifetime to explore, but the island can be covered pretty well in about ten, perhaps twenty years. Tech is a path away from boredom. Americans have too much landscape and too many people to deal with to be that bored. We also have way to much infrastructure to tend to. They could upgrade their entire infrastructure in the time and for half the money it would take to focus on one single state. We invent the stuff, then get bogged down trying to distribute it and distracted by ourselves and our yard. They, and the Europeans take that stuff we made and perfect it out of bor |

Tuesday, September 22, 2009 11:09:54 AM @thevssranger:if you honestly believe it's us who have been giving THEM help in technological and science research, you must be a very uninformed person indeed. and by the way, Germany was the reason we won WWII. it was their brilliant minds that led to the development of atomic weaponry, as well as the furtherance of solid and chemical rocket propulsion (thank you Wernher Von Braun) |

Tuesday, September 22, 2009 11:05:42 AM Eh, they should be happy that they aren't Chinese. At that age they would be competing for spots on the Women's Gymnastic team. If you under-perform, its the glue factory for you! Same thing once you reach the age of 16... |
