It's a case of bad grammar not spelling. And failed wordplay.Commandeer and Thieve is an action and it's Commander-IN-Chief not AND. Commandeerer-and-Thief would be a clever bit of wordplay on Commander-in-Chief but in this case they did fail but not because of their spelling skills. |

I don't get what's wrong with it. Commandeer is a word! If would make more sense if it was "thief" instead of "thieve." Oh well, it's not *that* bad. |

The only thing that I see wrong with the sign is the 'Commander and Cheif.' I see alot of people who are confused as to the second one. comâ‹…manâ‹…deer

The only thing wrong is that it should be "Commander-in-chief," but then the second part would make no sense seeing that it'd be "Commandeer-in-thieve." |

And whilst thieve IS a word, it's a verb, not a noun, and thus contrasts with the first half of the sentence, but whatever. |
