Sunday, September 20, 2009 10:02:19 PM > CharlieChaosJeepers, I've already muted you for foul language and then I find another post here. I won't increase it but dude, look through the forums... do you see ANYONE else using language like that on IAB? Don't you think they might have been tempted if there wasn't a good reason not to? How do you feel knowing that everyone else on IAB can control their natural instincts and act civilized, and you can't? |

Sunday, September 20, 2009 4:37:20 PM @ LionHart2: You're right on the money! I was so dismayed by this that I e-mailed the link to both my friend (the Exec. Dir. of the ECSPCA) and another acquaintence (who is on the ECSPCA Board of Directors). Both e-mailed me back and are in agreement that: 1. This woman is LYING through her teeth by claiming it's her husband's fault. 2. She should be prosecuted, as she certainly prosecuted others. They BOTH said some of the same things that you did Lion, and both expressed disgust at her implication that she didn't know the dog was in the car with her. A deaf and blind dog still barks and makes other noises in addition to farting up a storm. |

Sunday, September 20, 2009 3:08:23 PM If it were an ordinary member of the public, it might be forgivable, but if you're President of a Society WHOSE SOLE F'ING PURPOSE IS TO PREVENT THIS SORT OF SH*T, she should have the entire book thrown at her, charges laid, license revoked, and civil damages paid to everyone she ever caused to be charged with an animal-related crime in the past. How the hell do you not even know you have a dog on board!? What sort of dog owner doesn't know where their dog IS for 4 hours? Is that taking care of the animal? And deaf and blind, it should be put down anyway - is THAT caring for an animal, letting it live in suffering? Throw the frikkin book at her Danno and swallow the key. Hypocrite bitch. |

Sunday, September 20, 2009 1:27:36 PM Has anyone on here ever researched those people who left their children in the car to die in the heat? This works the same way: they're at fault, but they didn't genuinely mean to do it. It was an accident: a fatal, tragic accident. |

Sunday, September 20, 2009 11:54:39 AM You are so right osiris. The only reason she wasn't prosecuted it because of her position, what a hypocrite. |

Sunday, September 20, 2009 11:49:11 AM Double post... sorry.I had a dog that lived to be 17. The older he got, the gassier he got. If he was in the car, the windows HAD to be down, and that STILL didn't completely mask his presence. It's late summer, and I'll guess that Ms. CEO was riding with her widows rolled up, and the A/C on. Also, WHO would put a 16 year old-dog in the cargo area of a vehicle? If it's an SUV, the animal is going to have difficulty getting out. If it's a minivan, a small dog could easily crawl under the 3rd row seat (if there IS one) and join you up front... which ANY dog would be inclined to do anyway! This woman is completely full of crap. |

Sunday, September 20, 2009 11:42:31 AM She's NOT being charged? Here's something to think about... How many people has SHE charged with and had prosecuted for animal cruelty for the exact same thing? The Executive Director of the SPCA in Erie County, New York (whom I happen to know) prosecutes people for this kind of thing on a regular basis, so I would have to assume that and ASPCA Director in Virgina would do the same. I call bullsh*t on her "not knowing" the dog was in the car. Anyone with a dog knows that if you take it with you in the car, it's impossible to ignore their presence, ESPECIALLY older dogs, who have a tendency to be rather gassy and will silently announce their presence during the entire ride. She was preoccupied, and simply forgot the dog was in the car. By the time she remembered and ran out to her car to get the dog it was too late. Still NO excuse. She should be forced to resign. |
