it's because it's on the Y chromosome...
something like that we learned it in bio but I didn't pay attention

it's like 40% or something of males are somewhat colorblind.I might be wrong >< |

i can see green and orangy red dots but cant make anything out of it then i saved it to my desk top and opened it in ms paint and inverted the colors and was offended. =( |

The ironic thing is that camouflage is much less effective on a color-blind person, since (s)he relies on shapes instead of color. |

@Lionhart2Yeah. Not sure if you're intentionally being stupid/silly, but most forms of colorblindness are sex-linked disorders and show up much more prominently in males than in females. Hemophilia is another disorder that males specifically are more typically prone to. "These disorders, (also called X-linked), are recessive, involve the X chromosome, and affect males almost exclusively. Females are virtually never affected by these disorders because they possess two X chromosomes, both of which would have to carry the defective gene in order for it to be manifested. Since these females' fathers would be affected by the disorder, which is usually debilitating or fatal, this is a highly unlikely situation."
