Saturday, September 05, 2009 8:43:05 AM MOST of those "True Facts" lists you get in email contain lies. WHY? It's so prevalent that it seems to indicate some kind of pathology. |

Saturday, September 05, 2009 12:06:40 AM Knew most of them already, but interesting collection. Always thought the "its impossible for bumblebees to fly" one was a classic. Here's a simple lesson in logic and science: If "A" is flying around in front of you, and your hypothesis says it's impossible - chance are its not the bumblebee that's doing things wrong. |

Friday, September 04, 2009 11:59:52 PM It just so happens that the moods of chameleons match their environment? I'd have to say that all but the last one make sense. |

Friday, September 04, 2009 8:23:08 PM Can't we just say, "go check out cracked.com," and be done with it? I like their stuff too, but I've already made it part of my daily routine--I don't need every single post linked to i-a-b. What's next, cross-linking every fark.com post? |

Friday, September 04, 2009 2:44:03 PM So what if alcohol actually makes you loose heat faster? That so doesn’t mean it didn't used to be a treatment for hypothermia! Pre-modern medicine is full of treatments and cures that would do you more harm than good, "bleeding" a patient of a good half litre of blood was thought to do no end of good for a cold. |

Friday, September 04, 2009 12:22:36 PM "Chameleons can change color; in fact they do it all the time. But it has nothing to do with camouflage. As you learned above from Aristotle (as everyone else should have learned a billion years ago), the color of a chameleon depends on what emotional state it's in"That's just stupid. If that's how it worked for them, they'd put themselves into danger in the wild. Blending into the environment is a lot more useful than turning blue while you've got predators around just because you're feeling a different emotion. Besides, I've taken care of chameleons, and when I put them on a brown branch or whatever, they'd go brown, or if I put them in a green shrub, they turn green, so yeahh, I don't agree with that "bullcrap animal fact". |

Friday, September 04, 2009 12:01:08 PM St Bernards used to carry brandy around. But then people realised there were free drinks running about and people started to get "lost" just to get a drink. Honestly |
