Monday, September 07, 2009 9:09:35 AM One more thing, since it wouldn't fit...Macs are for professionals who are trying to do a job. They've obviously become more trendy what with the money Apple's dumped into advertising, but they're just trying to get ahold of the markets Microsoft has(indirectly) had a hold on for quite a while now. I, myself, prefer PC because there is greater interactivity with the actual components and thus more choices. I'm sorry, but I'd like to see one other person who has the exact same computer as me. You don't get that feeling when you buy a Mac. I don't care how 'individual' iLife can make you feel, it'll never be the same as owning a unique computer, because someone, somewhere has the exact same one as you, and much more likely several dozens of people, if not hundreds, do as well. A good way to sum this up: Macs are for the software nerds, PCs are for the hardware nerds. |

Monday, September 07, 2009 9:00:50 AM This whole argument is ridiculous. Macs and PCs both have their uses, and neither is "better" at everything than the other. For nuts-and-bolts power dealing with graphics, computer-farming, video, music, or any number of commercial needs, Mac is better. There are a few things it can do in the 'fun' region, as well, such as music and video editing and such. However, when it comes to kicking back and unloading a few virtual clips, a PC is the way to go. Another aspect nobody seems to be discussing is that Macs aren't upgradeable to the extent that PCs are and, to get a desktop PC comparable to a Mac is -vastly- cheaper if you know how to build one yourself, something that a lot of Mac users simply don't. Not only that, but in buying a Mac, you're essentially saying that a.) You're too lazy/ignorant to build your own machine, and b.) You'd rather give your machine as little individuality as possible by spending money on hardware you probably don't need. |

Sunday, September 06, 2009 2:43:22 PM "User-friendly is what its all about. I don't see anyone running old school DOS."Yea, because the ONE AND ONLY difference between "old-school DOS" and a modern OS are the amounts of user-friendliness... The fact that you even think that shows your lack of knowledge on the subject. Fail. Sorry but your obsession for quoting ONE sentence of mine every time I post ANYTHING and following it with a smug little bullpoo one-liner can't win every time. :) |

Sunday, September 06, 2009 12:49:47 PM ok lionhart2 i'll say it again, i'm not attacking macs, i'm attacking the belief that mac users have that macs are inherently superioryou cant win that arguement, apple have already conceded that their os doesnt cut it, you say bootcamp ships with the new release, so their admitting you want to use other os's rather than fixing the holes in theirs game support, third party program support, brand familiarity, market share apple are losing out on all these fronts, they had to create the macs are magic belief system to turn their failing brand into a cult and please stop distinguishing macs from other machines, internally they are the same, but when its running osx you call it a mac but running ANY other os its referred to as a pc, this is part of apple's propaganda, just like the way they withheld 3g support on 1st gen iphones then acted as though they invented the damn thing when they put it on the second gen, you actually beleive their tech is different when it just isnt |

Saturday, September 05, 2009 2:59:11 PM "And seriously, Mac fanboyism does not even begin to reach the utter fanaticism of PC users." That's a huge load of poo, haha. Basically, there's fewer mac users so fewer fanboys. Personally, I use what suits my current task, if it's mac, windows, or linux, so be it. @rgsuper There are only sort of viruses for Mac, they however can't simply exploit a vunerability like they often can in windows. That's because of the fact that Macs are unix based and unix makes it a bit difficult to make system changes. |

Is the OS going to suck your d*ck because you're defending it? Get a hobby, christ."Sorry, it is just a fanboy rage. Whenever anything, ANYTHING remotely related to Macs is mentioned, it turns into 'OMG MACS SUCKS' PC rant. Look, some like Macs better, some like PCs, get the hell over it. It seems like Windows, and Linux users are actually morally offended by Macs, if they hate it so much, I am not sure why they even bother. And seriously, Mac fanboyism does not even begin to reach the utter fanaticism of PC users.

Friday, September 04, 2009 8:32:34 AM my cousin/girlfriend used to live in the town right next to here, Ive visited that shopping mall type thing, its outrageously high end and expensive there, its where all the local rich spoiled white kids shopped (my cousin included). Also I'd bet my life those kids are from Cherry Hill West High School nearby, honestly its the only place with black kids in a 3 mile radius. |

Friday, September 04, 2009 7:45:24 AM "(btw, i have to deal with a school full of macs. they get a drating discount from apple.) so, get windows. drill a hole in a mac and Screw the screen"Eh, I'll dual boot with my Mac, thank you very much. What other complete rubbish that people throw at Macs can I debunk? Um, oh yeah, I can play games, have been able to for quite some time now (dual booting, though, not for lack of a good operating system, but for lack of support), the mouse has four buttons not one (left, right, middle, side click), It can do pretty much everything that windows does, and is a better OS. Want facts? Well, for one, Apple didn't need to create a useless new OS with irrelevant extras to cover up that the system sucked. Snow Leopard can support 16 Terabytes of ram, yup, Vista can do about 10 gigs, I think. Anyway, I am running out of space, and can't be bothered arguing. |
