Wednesday, September 16, 2009 11:07:09 AM Well, hell. I'm not any of these sizes. I'm an American 10. Guess I'm not average OR wanted by either sex.Oh well. I won't tell the guys I date I'm supposed to be a different size. |

Friday, September 11, 2009 4:27:34 AM Perhaps this would be true if all women were correctly proportioned, like these (except perhaps for the no-neck thing...), but the fact of the matter is that today's lifestyle and diet means most women end up with all their weight on their stomach, which results in tragically unnecessary amounts of floppiness. Gross. Most people out there who actually are a size 16 look like someone has stuck an extra tummy on them that was made of play-doh by a four-year-old. |

Tuesday, September 08, 2009 2:22:11 AM I think the size 12 lady looks bigger than the size 16. Also she has no neck. Bad camera angle for her. The whole thing just doesn't make sense. Some pleasant floppiness, though! |

Saturday, September 05, 2009 6:27:13 AM I know who these girls are and no one in that picture is a size 16. This is very misleading. Caroline is only a size 12, not a 16. And Anna is the same size. They say 12/14 so clients don't think they're too small for plus size work, but neither one is bigger than a 12. And the average woman is not a size 16, she is a 12. Where did this horribly misleading pic come from... Glamour??? |

Friday, September 04, 2009 9:15:52 PM Aramil.. this is not the mean, this is the average, which may not necessarily be the mean. The average is generally a measure of the middle of a dataset. So GENERALLY half of all yankee women are size 16 or larger. |

Friday, September 04, 2009 4:04:55 PM Aussieguy29, there is a difference between mean, median, and mode. Pictured here is the mean, which is what you have when you add all the weights (or desired weights) together and divide by the number of women. You are thinking of median, which is what you get when you line up all the weights in order, then pick the one right in the middle. |

Friday, September 04, 2009 8:52:25 AM "I bet you that a 350 lb. lineman in football is in much better shape and much healthier than you are."He may be as in shape, but not more. I'm a gymnast. & of course, muscle isn't the same as disgusting fat, so he may have 200 pounds of muscle on him, while someone else will have 200 pounds of fat, which is neither healthy nor attractive. I'll disregard your ignorance in jumping to the conclusion that I'm bulimic because I have a disdain for fatties. |

Friday, September 04, 2009 1:41:31 AM yeah, well the AVERAGE may be a size 16 but that means that HALF of all women are size 16 or larger. So the three women picture here only represent the lower half of all women. So this is slightly misleading. |

Thursday, September 03, 2009 9:08:26 PM leesah, get your finger out of your throat and listen up: You can have some fat and still be healthy. Weight isn't the only factor in determining health. I bet you that a 350 lb. lineman in football is in much better shape and much healthier than you are. Blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and other factors are much better indicators of health. This is coming from a skinny guy, so it is not biased. It is fact. |

Thursday, September 03, 2009 7:54:57 PM I clearly have enough respect for myself to take an hour to work out every day. No fat here. If I knew what a "wank Lolita" or "EGL" was, I'm sure I'd have something to say about that too. |
