Wednesday, August 26, 2009 8:42:43 PM Lionhart, what you just said about Japanese culture is like saying every citizen is a war criminal. To learn more about Japan in this century, I have some books I wish for you to read. But alas, those are the topics for another flame war. And thus, I depart. |

Wednesday, August 26, 2009 6:32:10 PM > Cajun247 > What does this have to do with Japanese culture?Perhaps you don't understand the meaning of the world "culture": the attitudes and behavior that are characteristic of a particular social group or organization. He found the culture of the Japanese to be funny; I was pointing out that it ain't funny, its an ingrained sociopathic hatred of anything non-Japanese which is far from amusing. Of course its a lot "better" (by Western definition of the term) these days, but the mind-set difference will always be there. |

Wednesday, August 26, 2009 6:17:05 PM Okay first I must ask: Lionhart2 wrote: "Death rates of Prisoners of War in WW2: Held by England: 0.01% Held by Australia: 0% Held by Nazi Germany: 1% Held by Japanese: 38% Held by Japanese and forced to work: 81%" What does this have to do with Japanese culture? And now for my own witty comment: "These Japanese Doritos are so great, they're literally a kick in the pants!" |
