I truly wanted to post, "Eh, they can have it.", Then I saw the Pine beetles. I live in Colorado, it's getting really weird, whole patches of forest dead, and it wont come back. It's sort of beautiful in an apocalyptic sort of way. |

They should have mentioned the Zebra mussle and the plant Hydrilla.
The zebra mussle is native to Asia and has now been found in Lake Tahoe. The waste from these creatures is high in nitrogen and feeds
algae and could possibly ruin N. America's largest, clearest and most beautiful alpine lake.
Hydrilla is a water plant that is hard to get rid of and choking many lakes and waterways in N.Cali.
These don't seem scary but could have a huge impact, regardless. |

@ davymid: There is obviously a near-revolt going on because of the CRAP that "fancys asst" is posting, while the vast majority of content being submitted by the members is being ignored.I'm convinced that she is fully aware of the dissent in the ranks, and her continuing to post such low-level content is her way of saying "Fu*k you all, I'm in charge and I'm going to continue to post cute kitty pictures and pics that indicate that my sense of humor sucks" IAB is PAYING her to do this? What the hell? If you guys want to kill the site, I'll do it for HALF of what you're paying her, and get it done twice as quickly. Just because the majority of visitors don't have accounts and leave comments does not mean that they don't think IAB is dropping the ball. Those of us that care about what happens to this site and are speaking up are being ignored. |
