I'd Like to point out to some people. This is NOT the trailer for Avatar: The last air bender. Because this movie came out called Avatar. The cartoon Avatar is not called avatar. It's just called The last air bender |

District 9. I saw the Avatar free 3-D trailer yesterday and I wasn't as impressed as I thought I'd be. The aliens looked too human, the plot seemed a bit too cutesy, and yes, I'm taking the giant battle-robots into that account. A friend of mine summed it up neatly; "It looks like a sci-fi remake of Dancing with Wolves".

Awesome, looking forward to it.Also the 200th movie this decade that features teen-aged body "women", not that I mind, but at this rate we are going to have to lower the age of consent to like 11 |

I watched the 20 minute Imax 3D preview today in San Antonio. Don't EVEN hate on this movie unless you've seen it in 3D. In-drating-credible. |

I agree with you Joolin. This just looks like your generic "people versus aliens" movie. District 9 makes you both hate and love both humans and aliens at the same time. It also shows us the reality of human psychology. "If it's different, it's bad."
This movie still looks pretty good though. Who says an unoriginal concept has to make a movie bad?
District 9 was-dare I say it- most likely unoriginal. |

If it wasn't for the occasional robot, this would be a fantasy movie about elves. I don't even know how you're comparing this to District 9, which is pure, classic sci-fi. When I say pure, classic sci-fi, I don't mean a good vs. evil movie featuring aliens - that would be fantasy. I mean a story with an original message which incorporates fictional technologies and/or branches of science. |
