Wednesday, August 12, 2009 12:35:57 PM listen to a real tech.. we normally tell people to wipe their system, re-install, and ADD MORE RAM!! Most of those things i wouldn't tell people to do because its beyond the scope of your average commenter. |

Tuesday, August 11, 2009 6:33:19 AM I don't recommend doing these, unless you are somewhat computer savvy. A lot of these could permanently drat up your computer. |

Tuesday, August 11, 2009 1:05:41 AM I'm sure that these are great, but I don't get them. I am a computer-illiterate. Most of these, to me, sound like: "Fix the [something] setting on the [something] for extra speed." or "Make this faster to make you computer faster."I'm sure they work. I just don't understand it. |

Tuesday, August 11, 2009 12:03:32 AM I should have know better than to ask an avid PC user to look at actual facts when blind faith and ignorance serves so well. |

Monday, August 10, 2009 9:26:19 PM " ... Who cares? Can't everyone just get the computer they want and stop nagging everyone else about their choices?"All that really shows is that you liek to waste money and know nothing about computers, most people will overspend on crappy computers, and won't properly maintain it therefore causing them to waste money on another computer, so on and so forth. actually wait 99% of people who use computers don't even know binary nevermind. i won't waste my time |

Monday, August 10, 2009 3:57:15 PM @ Lionhart2I stand by my answer bang for buck wise a PC is beter. How many games can you play on a Mac and what are your upgrade options down the road? Also how many servers do you see that are Macs? |

Monday, August 10, 2009 3:28:08 PM > McGovern1981 > Tip to Make your MAC faster. 1.) Get a PCYour ignorance is astounding in this day and age. Sure 20 years ago people were that stupid about the "Opposition", but have you even bothered looking up REAL facts in the last 20 years? And your advice fails anyway, because Macs ARE a PC, they've had BOTH chipsets in them (NOT emulation) for at least 6 years. In fact, my $800AU MacMini runs XP and Vista faster than my $4000AU Dell T7500. |

Monday, August 10, 2009 3:11:13 PM See, lists like these are soooo dangerous for people like me - me being a semi computer illiterate ie; I know enough to cause more problems! These hints sound so fun and challenging to me that I wanna just blaze thru and try them all ('cept the Vista stuff - I no gots Vista, only XP). Then I would turn into my alterego: UberBitch and wonder why my dam computer quit working and then take it to my favorite tech friend and say "I don't know what happened, I turned it on and that's what I got, I swear!" As she slowly pounds her head against her desk, saying 'nonononono'....heh heh my friend loves me lots.... |
