Thursday, August 06, 2009 5:39:39 AM The video is a fake. The ride is too smooth for such a hilly surface, the sound effect of the splash sounds too close to the camera, the splash would have a lot more sideways force and the pool would have split open.

Thursday, August 06, 2009 2:39:04 AM at that speed hes likely to shatter his tailbone if it were real. and it totally doesnt look real lol he speeds up while in the air till hes going like twice the speed he was during the entire slide down the ramp |

Thursday, August 06, 2009 1:01:41 AM This would have totally looked real if he landed in a lake or something. I was like "holy poo!" until I saw him land in that itty bitty pool. |

Wednesday, August 05, 2009 9:55:10 PM it does look quite real tho.. plus that would be awesome to actually do.. but into a bigger, deeper water area tho.. or net. |

Wednesday, August 05, 2009 9:53:50 PM If I remember correctly, a bullet will only travel about three feet into water before it loses most of its velocity. The water depth should be fine here. It's the other variables, such as the friction created as the body travels down the slide, that makes me wonder how they could predict a safe distance for the pool.

Wednesday, August 05, 2009 9:49:03 PM tiny pool is much better than a lake. it's hard to miss a lake... if these guys didn't remember their high school physics class he would have been a puddle of goo. that is if it had actually been real of course. |

Wednesday, August 05, 2009 8:17:20 PM Well obviously this is fake, who cares. I just hope this provides a Jackass-esque wave of imitators for my amusement. |

Wednesday, August 05, 2009 7:21:55 PM That pool in only two or three feet deep... Thus if you calculate the speed of his entry and multiply it by the height of when he landed... he would have broken his back and anything else that hit the bottom of the pool first. In other words... he would have seriously injured himself, or just died... |

Wednesday, August 05, 2009 6:28:13 PM He was fairly lateral and pulled his legs up at the end so legs breaking isn't that likely. I was going to say that the chances he broke something else was pretty high but it's possible that the water did slow him enough, because he was going so fast laterally it would be the length of the pool not necessarily the depth that had more effect. People have survived worse.I would have assumed that kind of impact would do more damage to the pool though. As for the targeting there does appear to be a lot of math and simulating to get it right on try one on that site, though it's not English so I can't tell you what it was about. XP Fake or not it's still awesome. |
