Clinton may not be the Master-of-all-Trades that Franklin was, but, he is the modern diplomatic equivalent(or pretty close to it anyway). The dinner lasted 45 minutes longer than the actual talks. Very Franklin-esque. That is why they sent him. |

BTW sunny, I lost all respect for the Nobel Committee after that, he's no more of a war hero than my dog and if he had such diplomatic influence he would have been the one at the dinner table. Don't worry madest, current administration couldn't get it done either; even with Stephen Bosworth as their envoy. Kinda appears that North Korea doesn't really hold stock in the current administration's State Dept... |
