Monday, August 03, 2009 4:44:33 PM OR the cheaper way is to filter vegetable oil and put it straight into a disel fuel tank... fast food places would pay you to take their old stuff away, or just take it free. and it works but at 80^ efficiency |

Monday, August 03, 2009 12:43:38 PM Why Mountain Dew? Couldn't a Shasta knock-off run this thing for 1/2 the price? I remember seeing a perpetual motor run by regular magnets. It was going to change the world. Possibilities were endless and it was all BS. Then there was the washing machine that would use sound to remove dirt. Was going to revolutionize laundry by eliminating soapy waste water. All BS never happened... Welcome to the possibilities of BS. |

Monday, August 03, 2009 12:31:05 PM jar-head: 25-30% is the efficiency for the engine, not the efficiency of fuel use. Most of the waste is heat and friction, neither of which can be avoided by adding flavoured water to the fuel mix. That will only reduce the efficiency. ICEs are still the most efficient form of engine currently available, which is why they're still almost always used. Electric motors would be more efficient if electricity could be supplied to the car more efficiently, but it can't. Not yet. Rather strangely, termites might provide the answer to that problem. A termite's digestive system produces hydrogen as a waste product from eating woody stuff. It does so quite efficiently, hugely more efficiently than electrolysis of water does. Detailed understanding of how it does so might lead to industrial scale bioreactors making hydrogen from wood, which might make hydrogen viable as a fuel (it isn't now, not even close to it). |

Monday, August 03, 2009 12:19:25 PM Why do people believe this sort of stuff? If it worked, everyone would be using it.Modern ICEs are very efficient, despite people making up low figures. There is so much money involved that engine manufacturers and car companies couldn't possibly get away with deliberately making engines far less efficient and selling cars with those engines. Say, for example, Ford brought out a car that cost the same as cars from rival companies, had the same performance as them and used half as much fuel. How many people would buy the other cars? Ford would dominate the market immediately and make a vast profit. If they didn't, some other company would. Does anyone really believe that every car company in the world is conspiring to massively reduce fuel efficiency? What about every major company in the world? Any major company would consider going into the car market if they had a Secret Invention that they could use to make cars twice as good as those from other companies. |

Monday, August 03, 2009 11:13:48 AM Engines only take in 25-30% of the actually Fuel. the rest is emissions, pollutants, This man just made a Booster you attach to an engine to service the other percentages higher...that's one mighty curve that took only 100 years to produce... |
