Alcohol was banned, serious crimes were committed, mafia Grew, money was earned. same is underway for pot. one thing that will never be tolerated are, Cocaine and Heroin, in which The drug war has rebelled as far as latin amerca to british columbia. |

Spankcake - alcohol is actually a naturally occuring substance in your body. Minute amounts (remember, *minute*) are produced on a daily basis. It's such a small amount that it literally does not effect your body or the way you function whatsoever; it's merely a biproduct of natural bacterias in your stomach and body processes.It's only poison when you -intentionally- bombard your system with more then your body is meant to take. Your body can already handle it - it's just a question of how much you take in that makes it poison. Weed, however, was not meant to be used to get high. It was just happily growing there til one day some random person decided to find out what happened when you smoked it. Tp1212 - the human body actually handles alcohol better when you're young, in comparison to when you're old. Another thing nobody ever tells you. NOT trying to start a debate. I'm just pointing out that drugs are not a natural thing and aren't really meant to be in your system. |

tp1212 has obviously never tried either? Me, as having tried both in the past but now being clean I would much rather be high than drunk...weed is of the earth and has and could have many more medicinal properties. Alcohol...pretty much just a poison...not that it's not fun sometimes though... |

And not the ones where they fed people THC and then thought they were insane because they ran around laughing at everything and making stupid voices.
I know a lot of people who do smoke regularly and have done so for years. Absolutely no problem. Now take the other people I know that have been drinking or smoking ciggarettes for the same amount of time. More problems there than the stoners. But the actual truth is that we don't know all the facts. And this is because of the fact it is illegal that we can't run proper tests. If it was made legal you could ask long time stoners to come forward to help with these tests and we could get some real answers. |

What RdDan says is true, what he fails to mention is that:
point A: Alcohol punches holes in your brain, and is still equally dangerous as cannabis.point B: Cannabis only causes alleged mental illnesses when used under-age(In huge amounts), because it inhibits brain development.
But after all that growing neural pathways to allow you to behave like a responsible adult, cannabis is way safer than alcohol. RdDan's post added for your enjoyment: "Now somebody make a similar diagram for pot, compare it to the alcohol one, and then try to come up with a good reason why pot is illegal while alcohol is not" I'll give you a good reason. Cannabis has links to severe mental illness - Schizophrenia, Manic Depression, Multiple Personality Disorder, that kind of thing. Good enough reason for you?

Weed makes you stupid huh? You should see this one kid in my high school he is the biggest stoner you will ever meet in your life yet he is smart as drat. It's because he tries unlike the typical high school stoner. |
