it's so weird, that it's utterly amazing.

I wouldn't say it's a modern take nor a "Where are they now?" version. It seems to be like the writer wanted to take a different route with the story. Evidently Gretel missed her brother, Hanzel, and had to lure him back to an old tree to remind him of their previous relationship.Maybe it's based on a different version of the tale? Brothers Grimm perhaps? I don't know much about the darker side of fairy tales. |

I basically agree with OldOllie. But I thought the only bad part was the music. The story wasn't bad if you watch the whole thing. |

Not sure how to look at it other that maybe a few years after the whole witch incident. Like almost a "where are they now?" sort of spin on their tale. Nice animation though. |

I just took it as a different version...maybe the brother stayed with the witch or something and turned dark so the sister had to come remind him? |
