I checked him out and he doesn't weigh the same as a Duck, so he can't be a witch. Sorry tp.

firefliet, Spot on, I work in surface chemistry and adsorption, your description and explanation is pretty much perfect.

...I would use that to leave creepy messages on people's windows! :D

I KNOW YOUR SECRET

Um, that being said, am I the only person that cringes horribly at the sound of packing tape being rolled out? Ugh, it makes me gag!

Huh. I suppose that the clear adhesive would fill the pores on the glass, which wouldn't disperse the light beams as much. If the tape was too dried-out or tacky it might not work, since it wouldn't get in all those dents. Also would depend on the frostiness of the glass. And if it's frosted on both sides, tape on both sides of the glass would work, even though it wouldn't be as clear as normal.

So this actually does work. The trick is, you have to stick the tape to the side of the glass that is frosted. Only one side is frosted and unfortunatly for you peeping toms, that side is usually on the inside of the house.

bah!, tried it! didn't work. Perhaps because my lamp is a frosted on both sides. Maybe that would on a one sided frosted glass.

This trick is over 50 years old. I remember seeing it in a 1950's detective movie.

I have a frosted glass on my oven that holds the spatulas and other things, one time I was cooking bacon and I noticed the bacon grease acualy took off the frost on the glass

If you put tape over your eyes you can make guys with frosted hair disappear.

Whaaa? Unbwogable said this works the same way if you wet the glass???? Really? I gotta go buy some sheet rock now to put over the FULL LENGTH frosted window in my shower! Sh*t...no one every told me this before! No wonder the pool guy is always here when I shower!
frosted glass is only frosted on one side if you get the rougher side wet it is clear but the smooth side is just normal glass so the effect wont apply. hopefully the door is smooth inside of the shower
