ey I blame most rap music for the racial slurs I'd beat the poo out of my kid (not really) if i ever heard him say it around me. I just don't like how racism is only seen one way but eh whatr you going to do if you can beat it join it. Us whiteys are nothin but small nose havin good for nothin tricksters breathin up all the other races air and did i mention that they smell? |

I use to cuss a lot when I was younger (I mean I still do, but I toned it down) I learned most of it from other kids and stuff on TV, I learned b*tch from my grandfather though but hes a vet ... So it's not always the parents fault, just most of the time :P |

I love how they throw that random "Most Livable Community" fact at the end just to shake the whole article up. And imo, ten days in jail and a permanently deformed anus will definitely get the point across. Not saying he didn't deserve more time, he definitely did, but perhaps from now on the permanent scarring (emotionally and literally) will change his mindset and lifestyle. |

That's because there is something wrong with white people...seriously, we're f'd up.
I know white guys (I live in AR) that hate all black people because a black guy beat him up once, or stole his girlfriend.
They will still listen to country music when a cowboy kicks their a$s though, go figure.

I go out to Norfolk virginia just about every night and the only racism you see down there is black people shooting stabbing and jumping white people leaving the bars. It gets pretty bad sometimes majority of the people that commit these crimes are caught pretty much on sight. Tried as hate crimes? na they are all just poor defenseless people that have been subjected to social inequality and are lashing out. BULLSH*T |

Im on Treli1337s side. Hes got a good point. And yes I did hear about the white family being jumped by 50 or so black teenagers. We never here about the black/mexican/asian on white crime as hate crimes. Just the white on black/mexican/asian being due to race. DM2754, you don't get it. Treli wasn't saying that. He's trying to get the point across, if a white boy would have been attacked, it wouldn't have even made news.
If a group of asians targeted a caucasian kid and threatened him and humiliated him, it would hardly make local news. Truth is, our society DOES work this way.
EVERYONE is racist, and a crime is a drating crime regardless, so punish the kid and get it over with. It shouldn't matter what the race of the people were, one boy stuck anothers neck in a noose and dragged him around threatening to hang him.
Throw the asshat in jail for harassment, battery(he obviously touched him by putting this noose around his neck), and public humiliation. Bubba will teach 'em a lesson. =D |

Treli1337 obviously you don't get it so let me try to explain.
Here's an example: I am Indian and your white. Let's say I rob you at knife point and take your money. That makes it a violent crime.
Let's say I take at knife and stab you because you're white not because I want your money. That makes it a hate crime.
You see, race itself doesn't make something a hate crime the intent and the actions of the crime make it a hate crime. |

you know i love how WHITE people are apparently the Devil. Why do they mention the victim's race but not the attacker's? I guess we are automatically meant to assume he's white? Why is it that only Caucasians can be racist? You never ever hear about racist African Americans, Hispanic Americans, or Asian Americans. Anybody hear about that on a white family by a bunch of black dudes? I doubt many have, know why? Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton had nothing to be pissed off about because it wasn't a black family being attacked by a bunch of white people.
You realize they mention the races so that you'll feel worse for the attacker right? "A boy was attacked" -oh, that's too bad- "A Hispanic boy was attacked by a white teenager" -STOP THE PRESSES!!!! We've got a hate-crime going on here!-
