Thursday, June 25, 2009 11:41:57 PM "This looks pretty poo to me... am i the only one?"Nope. And if the voice recognition is anything like that Fandango bitch you can bet I will not be the only one to dispose of my Xbox via Nuclear explosion. The idea of using this with fighting games is neat for a second. Remember all the trouble with people destroying TV's and fragile furniture with their awesome new Wii remote? Lets replace the remote with a foot and see how fun that gets. Microsoft will have to put a big ass sticker on the box saying "If you put your foot through your TV its your own dumb fault". I seriously doubt there would be offline multiplayer fighting but can you imagine how that would play out? Online multiplayer could work tho and would be hilarious. Of course some dumb kid will take it too far and attempt an Guile like Somersault kick and break his neck. Same with skateboarding game. The video from before with Milo or whatever was somewhat impressive. This is not |

Wednesday, June 24, 2009 12:38:43 PM And this is simpler than the regular controllers... how?CAN'T YOU PEOPLE SEE!? They are trying to get us to move and exercise! don't be blinded by this fancy stuff, you can't just chill out on the couch anymore with a bag of chips, you hafto be moving around all the time. wtf is up with that!? I think it will be great, but most people won't buy it. requires to much space and moving around.
We could just aswell "game" outside seeing as this is what they are leading us up to. "introducing the new wii basketball! now a real ball! dribbel around in the local courtyard! invite friends over the telefone or just ask them directly! purchase now and get an extra ball incase you wear it out!" no one else see this coming? |

Tuesday, June 23, 2009 10:03:44 PM @DertMerchant Technically, the PS2 had the first thing like this when the Eye Toy came out. And ideas for projects like this have been around for decades. Microsoft came in late with the idea, but you don't need to go around saying(screaming?) that xbox is trying to push nintendo off the market. Thats ignorant and completly uncalled for.(IAB needs to get a reply system on the comment board) |

Tuesday, June 23, 2009 8:22:00 AM so this is just an accessory to the Xbox 360? I thoguht it was going to be a whole new system. And I doubt that it will work as well as that shows, nothing ever works as well as the preview ad shows. But still, it could be enormously cool if it works |

Monday, June 22, 2009 6:50:39 PM Everyone who gets overexicted because of those new controlers need a reality check.REALITY CHECK 101 Does those new motion controlers perform better then the normal controlers that everyone are used to? Answer is "NO" and you know it. Don't be total tards and stop paying attention to this sort of hype. |

Monday, June 22, 2009 3:59:10 PM It's cool what we can do with technology now, but video gamesw just aren't the same without a controller, plus I don't exactly wanna jump around a room looking like an idiot. |

Monday, June 22, 2009 8:59:28 AM The ps3 wand is cool as well, but they are doing different things really. The 1:1 tracking on the PS3 was really impressive though, no doubt :) |

Monday, June 22, 2009 8:48:46 AM I think PS3 is in the lead on this motion sensor game. I'm a bit bias, slight Sony fan girl yeah. But the two component we see here between 360 and Wii are Camera and Internal Motion Sensors. PS3 uses both rather then relying on one or the other.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwTvTenC0... Natal looks to have a few lag issues and Wii is known to be choppy, granted I haven't seen much on Motion Plus so they may have improved it more then I'm aware of. I'm more of an RPG person regardless. The motion gimmicks are neat but I want to see some ridiculously crafty applications before I'm seriously impressed. |

Monday, June 22, 2009 8:06:26 AM Perigee: well think in a broader scope than just what the demo shows. Imagine something like the wii nunchuck (a one hand controller with a stick and a few buttons) to compliment the body input and all of a sudden some pretty nifty things could be made. Most certainly nothing close to reality will be made with it, in the main i think we'll just see casual games. |

Monday, June 22, 2009 6:33:23 AM I'm glad to not be the only skeptical person here. If it's based on what a person can do with their body then doesn't that slightly limit what kind of games you can create with this? One of the great things about games is the ability to do things that in the real world ARE NOT POSSIBLE. The whole purpose of Natal, it seems to me, is to put the real world in your living room so you never need venture outdoors. Well, possibly not in the case of Godzilla, but as soon as I saw that I felt it was ridiculously limited: yay! you can stomp and hit things! but you can't turn or look around! hurrah! |
