This baby either needs to be put up for adoption, or aborted. There is no way the baby could possibly have a happy life in this situation, nor could the young naieve mother. |

how stupid could this mother be?! Letting a 12 year old sleep in the same bed with a 15 year old? When i was 15, i wasnt allowed over to a boys house. IDK what the government says, im going to raise my child the way i was...with a strong hand. Sure i was spanked, but i learned! Dumb ass people... |

You know, that pisses me off. I don't have any kids (I'll be 21 in one week) but when I do, like HELL I'd let any daughters I may have sleep with their boyfriends. Especially if they're under the age of 18! I'd sue the DOCS (if possible) and get someone fired. |

nataleedraco, how old are you? a 12 and 15 year old do not have the ability to be "happy about having a kid" because they have no idea what i all means. I'm 18 and it would definitely be preferable for me to not have a kid even though i'm technically defined as an "adult". the maturity level isn't there for them to be happy together and happy for a child to be a part of their lives |

a 15 year old guy fair enough that's stupid.
But i slept in the same bed as a girl when i was 12 many times. That was cause there wasn't another bed in her room though, and we knew not to get up to anything.
You'd be surprised about parenting though, age does not define how good a parent you are. There are many kids who basically carry the role of mother/father to their siblings AND look after their parents too. |

When mum first started teaching, at the school a 12 year old girl was pregnant to a 12 year old boy.A girl I went to school with dropped out at age 14 and got pregnant at 15 to her 30 year old boyfriend. They've got 2 daughters now. Some kids are just messed up. It really sh*ts me off actually. |

Kids being skanky does not surprise me. Some girl in my middle school went around bragging to everyone that she lost her virginity at the age of 12. She had issues. |

The thought of a 12-year-old having sex is disgusting, let alone getting pregnant. When I was 12 I was in my awkward stage, I tucked oversized t-shirts into my pants, and still liked Sailor Moon. |

it did not say that the parents were happy about this, or anything about the childrens relationship.
It said her Father and his partner with happily take care of the baby for his daughter.
I highly dough a 15 year old boy who would screw a 12 year old will stay. |

You can thank bad parenting and the media [but mostly bad parenting] for this. The media advertises and exposes kids to sex at a very young age, but it's just as much the parents' faults for not filtering and monitoring what the child does. Unfortunately, many pople aren't fit to be parents...I do agree with davy, though. In such a society, it is important to know the cosequences if your child does have sex. And no, natalee, if he had tried doing anything directly, legal actions would have undoubtably been taken. |

well, that;s what the kid wants to do, plus both the to-be parents are happy about having a kind the article said. they both love each other, and that's what they wanna do... besides the father probably could have intervened himself if he wanted instead of whining to police. |

Actually, dumb as*hole as I am, I am saying that. I have a three-year old daughter. And when she starts her period in 9 or 12 years time, I'll be damn sure to sit her down and have a serious talk about sex. What it means, what it is, what pregnancy is, how her body is changing, and so on. You say "dumb as*hole", I say "sexual awareness". Where in this did I become an unfit parent? |

"Old enough to" and "ready for" are two different things, however. |

hey xoxcassxox, i dont know where you grew up, but most boys and girls by the age of 11 and 12 fully know how to have sex, and i think holding hands is over in about 3rd grade, but still a little girl with a 15 year old guy, it... it well, will turn out like this...
oh and "tripping" dosent count as an abortion... so... that would be a nice alternative... because i dont think a 12 year old will have the easiest time giving birth... |
