I'd be more worried about smaller rocks, like asteroids, colliding with Earth. Plus, like everyone else has been saying, we'll be long gone from this planet; either from destroying ourselves or moving to a new planet.

1 billion years? those so called "scientists" are wasting their time, that's a guess, an estimate on natures course of action, with the smallest sway of power this could not happen, this Will not happen. too bad i wont live long enough to see my words in action...unless, anyone wana cryo-freeze me?
