Lighten up people!"Actually, speaking as a barman, it's a real problem, there's a £3000 fine, and up to 3 months in jail for serving an under - ager. Morally i have no problem with it, in fact i'd rather they did it in the pub than out in a park, where anything could happen to them. At least in a pub you're supervised. |

i remember seeing that trick on tv in 1989, I tried doing it and managed to catch the cigarette like the man on the first try.Lukily a friend was with me to witness it.Never managed to do it again since then.... |

Link Hiei, I think you read too much into it - I did not state what I would do faced with those circumstances, and this was not about me, it was about Vindictive. Personally as a 36 year old guy I certainly would not buy a 16 year old girl a drink for flashing her cleavage or wares at me, but then I probably wouldn't a 20, 25 or any other age woman either.That's not to say I am adverse to buying a girl/woman a drink, I'm not and frequently do. Also, I think it worth noting, although not specified in her post, there are interpretations of her words that could differ (maybe she'll revisit this post and clarify). I could easily take her statement to be the equivalent of tidying yourself up, putting on a nice smile and sticking out your chest - equally applicable to a guy or a girl. |
