Sunday, June 14, 2009 3:27:43 AM Euhm I don't know, but if you know you have a kidney stone and your doctor won't treat it, I would find another doctor instead of "moving around to get the blood flowing" when your fingers are starting to go black... |

Saturday, June 13, 2009 4:12:24 PM That's a pretty glaring error. How could a jury find the doctors not guilty? The woman lost her drating limbs because some idiots wouldn't write on her chart. Kudos to the judge. |

Saturday, June 13, 2009 12:28:40 PM I think theres some misunderstandings here. Both the patient and one of the doctors have the same last name. Strong. So at no point was the jury or judge try to accuse this of being the patients fault, they just dont know which doctor to blame. |

Saturday, June 13, 2009 11:45:38 AM The article said: Kocik, a 30-year veteran of ER medicine, insists she told Dr. Strong over the phone that Lisa Strong likely had a kidney stone. Dr. Strong works for a firm contracted by Lisa Strong's insurance company to make medical decisions if her personal doctor isn't available or chooses not to make the call. There is the 1st person that should feel the hammer fall on this. As someone who works in this industry, one of the 1st things they teach you is that if you don't document it it never happened. It is drilled into over and over, so as a 30 year veteran she should have know better. Still she shouldn't be the only one to blame. |
