Or is there a reason for it?"I'd imagine those tires are there for protection. So the floor doesn't get damaged when he drops those weights. |

I guess. |

Monday, June 01, 2009 9:54:11 PM @moefreak "He could just like pick me up with one arm. Scary."Well, if you weigh less that 550 lbs. (250 kg.), I'll just bet he could. I would point out, though, that he could not do this in a competition. By using tires instead of barbell weights, he starts with the bar higher off the ground than it would be for a regulation lift. Also, because of the flex in the bar, he's not lifting the entire weight till the last two tires clear the ground, by which time he's standing nearly straight. Still, the guy's got stones. |

Monday, June 01, 2009 8:56:26 PM A deadlift is supposed to be leg and lower back strength. Nobody should be talking about his arms because they aren't relevant to this lift. |

Monday, June 01, 2009 7:33:44 PM honestly, he didn't lift it past even 180 degrees so it wasn't even arm strength. I can lift a lot two by just hanging on and un-squating |

Monday, June 01, 2009 5:57:06 PM for my school'd deadlift, you stand in the middle of a rectangular bar with weights at the end. so the weight surrounds your body and its alot more physically hard than what he did. (form-wise, not wieght-wise) |
