Lionheart2...meaning further north than the Arctic Circle itself, which is around 66 degrees North. Living beyond this implies living even closer to the North Pole than that of the Arctic Circle. |

Yep, winter is a looong long night there and that summer day is sweet if not so great for insomniacs.. It's like you have two seasons in the year and between them are one day and one night. The effect is not so strong here about 500km south of the Arctic Circle but it has still the same effect to the soul. |

I work on the North Slope in Alaska, and it's like that right now. Gets slightly dim about 3am when the sun barely touches the horizon, then it's up again. It's *incredibly* easy to lose track of time and sleep if you aren't used to it. |
