It looks cool but I don't see what's so scary about it. It's a big freaking jellyfish. End of story. Yeah, I don't know if I'd want to swim with it but I wouldn't want to swim with most things in the ocean. |

how can different single celled organisms make up different parts of an organism. Some of those cells have to be specifically made to form a different part. |

Don't worry about the weird pr0n. They've already done that. And btw this almost completely harmless. The tentacles are basically little tiny organisms. And they filter feed. |

The Siphonophore are actually a community of different single organism called "Zoids" that work together as a single being, each individual has a specific task, for instance some are in charge of move the colony, others to capture the food, others to process it and so on. The Zoids cannot live by themselves. |

Sorta creepy, especially when you think about how odd it is, and consider things like the Bloop right after it.I've laid down good money that the Bloop is non-organic in origin. These deep-sea organisms aren't exactly known for being chatty.

unfortunately, Siphonophores are a class of marine invertebrates and are colonial, but the colonies can superficially resemble jellyfish; although they appear to be a single organism, each specimen is actually a colony of Siphonophora. The best known species is the dangerous Portuguese Man o' War.so basically, thats not one organism, but a colony of Siphonohores |
